The Nigeria Football Federation Disciplinary Committee has banned two referees and a match commissioner for a year each.

The committee led by Musa Amadu in a statement on Thursday said centre referee Muntaka Abubakar from Nasarawa State, assistant referee Dahiru Usman and match commissioner Mohammed Nazah were found guilty of misconduct in the cancellation of a disputed goal in the Nationwide League One match between Doma United and Yarmalight on June 30 at the Patami Stadium, Gombe.

The committee ruled that the match should be continued from the 66th minute in Bauchi State with a new set of match officials on a date and time to be fixed by the secretariat of the NLO.

The committee also suspended a Yarmalight player, Garba Mohammed, for the next three matches for his misbehaviour during the game.

While imposing a fine of N100,000 on Yarmalight for bringing the game into  disrepute, the committee also suspended some of the club’s officials for their role in the disruption of the match.
